Remember: Memoir is not autobiography!
A memoir doesn’t begin with
the date and place of your birth
or the names of your parents.
You don’t need to include facts about
preschool,
elementary school,
middle school,
high school,
college, or
grad school.
Details that a résumé requires
are non-compulsory in memoir.
Your memoir is a slice of your life.
Include only those details
that pertain to your slice, your memoir’s theme.
